About
Welcome to drop by! Currently, I am a professor of economics at Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark. I was born and raised up in Chengdu, China, and my Chinese name is 邓 舵 (or Deng Duo) .
I studied at Baylor University in Texas, and received my Ph.D. in economics from Brandeis University near Boston, Massachusetts. My research lies in the intersections between macroeconomics, international economics and finance. And my research have tended to be related to China. Previously, I had taught development economics at Brandeis University and a course on Chinese Economy at Tufts University.
Besides research and teaching, I am also an active investor in global-macro area. My interest in global macro investing partly derived from my earlier working experience at two leading quantitative investment shops in Boston. In 2007, I co-founded Brandeis Chinese Investment Group (BCIG), a small yet active investment community including many Brandeis alums and investment professionals.
I hope you find this site useful. Welcome your comments and suggestions.
